Enjoy a truly exceptional mountain view while visiting our chalet, Point of ViewPoint of View is perched on five acres overlooking the lush French Broad River Valley, nestled among trees and massive natural rock formations.

Within the walls of Point of View you will find typical bedrooms and bathrooms, a large kitchen and comfortably appointed living and dining areas.  Make no mistake though, what makes this property really a knockout is THAT mountain and valley view. It is the extraordinary view which draws you outside to sit and stare in awe and disbelief. Truly, the view is that powerful. Don’t be surprised if you find yourself saying, “Wow, just Wow!” Who knows, maybe sitting and watching the masterpiece before you morph and change as the sun and moon make their way through the sky, might just become your new favorite pastime.

 

Point of View is a three story chalet with bedrooms on each level allowing for privacy while providing flowing living space for multi-generation families or larger groups to spread out. The top floor has 2 double bedrooms with a shared bath between the bedrooms. On the main (entry) level is a queen bedroom with a full bath, full kitchen, laundry and the great room with a massive native stone fireplace and large dining table. The lower level has another queen bedroom, full bath, twin bedroom and a living area with another native stone fireplace and separate patio. The house is laid out in such a way that you can enjoy time together yet privacy is still possible!

 

We are delighted to be able to share our piece of heaven which, for decades, only immediate family and friends ever got to set eyes on.  Point of View was formerly Dru’s parents home where they spent many happy years. They treasured the location, spending MANY years trying to buy the land they had fallen in love with. Persistence paid off and we are all now the beneficiaries.  We believe sharing special things enriches everyone and we hope that you will be enriched by a stay at Point of View.

Next door to Point of View is another of our properties known as Keepers. Originally, it was a two car garage with a separate living space attached but we completely re-worked the structure and now it is an adorable two-story cottage with it’s own private driveway. Keepers is rented on a yearly basis and we are super selective to choose folks who are easy-going and extremely respectful of our guests at Point of View.  We just like folks to know that they won’t be completely alone on the mountain.

More information

Point of View is ideally located less than 10 minutes to Brevard so you can conveniently get groceries, do some shopping at the local stores and galleries, catch a movie at our cute movie theater, grab a bite or beverage, or whatever suits your fancy. Our guests often tell us it can be hard to leave the property, so be forewarned and make sure to leave some time for relaxing with THAT view.

Just pack your clothes, adventuring gear of choice and a toothbrush, then stop by the grocery store and you are set to kick back for some rest and relaxation! The beds will be made up, ready for you.
